CASAI

Documented commercial settlement in every project

CASAI helps municipalities, public agencies, infrastructure owners and other clients make quantities, evidence and commercial decisions possible to follow, explain and govern, in the project and across the whole portfolio.

Project overview in CASAI with status and key figures

When control relies on reconstruction after the fact

Scattered evidence

Submissions, calculation records and comments are handled in multiple files, versions and email threads.

Uneven control between projects

Different project managers, contractors and consultants work with different routines and evidence requirements.

Late variances

Outstanding items, growing review cycle times and financial variances are discovered after they have grown.

Heavy after the fact audits

Internal control, audits and dispute readiness require extensive reconstruction of who approved what, when and on what evidence.

From quantity to an auditable history

  1. Quantity

The contract's Bill of Quantities structures the settlement. Submissions are registered against the right item.

  2. Evidence

Calculation method and supporting evidence are linked to every submission before review.

  3. Review

Your reviewers and the contractor see the same evidence, with clear roles and status.

  4. Decision

Approvals are documented with a timestamp, an accountable person and the evidence.

  5. Financials

Approved, remaining and deviating value is followed continuously, as the basis for forecasts and invoice control.

  6. Audit

The whole chain is preserved and can be followed for internal control, audits and potential disputes.

Frequently asked questions

How does CASAI fit into a procurement process?

CASAI can support the dialogue with a system description, security documentation, scope and a commercial model. The choice of procurement procedure is made by your procurement function under the applicable regulations.

Does the whole organisation have to start at once?

No. A common first step is a single project or a limited part of the portfolio where traceability and commercial settlement matter most. The way of working can then be extended step by step.

Does CASAI replace Excel and our existing systems?

No, CASAI does not replace every existing tool. The problem is rarely a single file, but that quantities, evidence, comments, decisions and financials cannot be followed as one connected chain. CASAI structures the contract related process where the information needs to stay connected.

Which packages are available and what do they include?

CASAI is offered as Team (an internal workflow within one organisation), Collaborate (a shared workflow between several parties) and Enterprise (a platform model for several concurrent projects and portfolio governance). The models describe how you use and pay for CASAI — the modules are purchased separately. BI Light and the platform foundation are included in every model.
